Jonah Jang is my role model, says Plateau Governor Mutfwang

Plateau State Governor Caleb Mutfwang has publicly lauded former governor Senator Jonah Jang, describing him as his "role model" during the presentation of Jang's autobiography in Jos. The event celebrated Jang's 80th birthday and highlighted his significant impact on the state.

I am privileged and highly honoured to be alive to see this day and to have the privilege of being the chief host as you celebrate your 80th birthday.

Mutfwang praised Jang as a committed and deliberate elder statesman, expressing gratitude for his support and guidance throughout Mutfwang's political career. The governor pledged to honor Jang throughout his life, emphasizing that Jang's legacies and leadership style, forged during his time as a former military governor of Benue and old Gongola states, remain indelible.

"I am privileged and highly honored to be alive to see this day and to have the privilege of being the chief host as you celebrate your 80th birthday," Mutfwang stated. He reiterated his pledge to honor Jang, not just for his role in Mutfwang becoming governor, but for becoming a personal role model.

This is not because of the role you played in my life to become the governor of Plateau, but you became to me a role model to follow.

The governor also commended Jang for establishing a solid foundation in Plateau State, particularly in infrastructure and quality leadership. Mutfwang vowed to continue Jang's work, noting that his administration is taking deliberate steps to complete strategic projects initiated by his predecessor. He urged younger generations to emulate Jang's nation-building example.
