Jorgito Martínez claims Open category victory at Óscar Crespo Circuit

Bolivian driver Jorge 'Jorgito' Martínez dominated the Open category at the 56th Óscar Crespo Circuit, securing a significant victory for Santa Cruz in Sucre. Competing alongside co-driver Diego Startari, Martínez navigated the demanding 42.7-kilometer traditional circuit with precision.

The duo aboard their Can-Am, number 90, clocked an impressive time of 49 minutes, 20 seconds, and 41 centiseconds. This performance not only secured them first place in their category but also marked them as the only Open competitors to successfully complete the entire regulated course, showcasing remarkable consistency and performance on one of Bolivian motorsport's most challenging stages.

This win holds special significance for Martínez, who is participating in the historic Chuquisaca circuit for only the second time. He expressed his deep satisfaction with the result, describing the race as "extraordinary." His victory adds another chapter to his burgeoning career in Bolivian motorsport.

The first day of the Óscar Crespo Circuit also saw winners emerge in six other categories. Ramón Tarqui of Potosí led the RC4 class, while Juan Carlos Tarqui Copa claimed victory in Proto. Joaquín Sandoval won the R1B category, Wilber Uribe celebrated his first win in Promocional, Enrique Gonzáles triumphed in RC5, and Mauricio Uribe secured his third consecutive win in the Buggies category. The competition is set to resume on Sunday with the higher-displacement categories, bringing the third round of the Bolivian National Circuit Championship to a close.
