JTBC denies rumors of entertainment program filming suspension, cites World Cup schedule for breaks

JTBC has firmly denied circulating rumors about the suspension of its entertainment programs, asserting that all shows are continuing with their planned filming schedules. The broadcaster issued the statement in response to a report by online outlet MyDaily, which claimed that several JTBC entertainment shows, excluding 'Please Take Care of the Refrigerator' and the newly premiered 'Love War,' were halting production.

The report specifically named 'Divorce Camp,' 'Knowing Bros,' and 'Talkpawon 25시' as programs affected by the alleged filming halt. However, a JTBC representative stated on June 24th, "This is not true." The representative further clarified, "Upon checking, all the programs mentioned are well into preparing their broadcasts according to their scheduled recording dates."

Concerns about the company's financial situation, which is undergoing corporate rehabilitation proceedings, were raised due to scheduled breaks for 'Han Moon-chul's Black Box Review' and 'Swindlers.' JTBC explained that these breaks are not related to their financial difficulties but are instead due to the broadcast schedule for the 2026 North and Central America World Cup. The program 'Han Moon-chul's Black Box Review' was set to be preempted for a rebroadcast of a group stage match on June 24th, and the South Korea vs. South Africa match was scheduled for rebroadcast on June 25th, leading to the 휴방 (preemption).
