Judge Donates ICT Center to Niger Girls' College to Promote Digital Learning

Justice Zaynab Bashir of the National Industrial Court of Nigeria has donated a digital learning and Information and Communication Technology (ICT) center to Martin Sanda Girls Science College in Paiko, Niger State. The initiative aims to boost digital literacy and expand educational prospects for young women.

The newly established facility is equipped to support ICT-based teaching and learning, designed to introduce students to essential digital skills and prepare them for future careers in a technology-driven world. The project also included the renovation of classroom blocks within the school premises.

During the project's inauguration, Justice Bashir stated that the initiative is her personal contribution to enhancing access to quality education for girls and empowering them with the knowledge and skills necessary for success in the modern economy. She emphasized education's transformative power and expressed hope that the center would inspire students to excel in science, technology, and innovation.

Governor Mohammed Bago of Niger State praised Justice Bashir's patriotic gesture, noting that it complements the state government's efforts to modernize public schools. He announced that the state would further support the school by constructing a perimeter fence, a science laboratory, and a sports complex. The governor also urged parents to encourage their children, especially girls, to pursue careers in medicine and other health-related fields to support the state's long-term healthcare development.

Other dignitaries, including former Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Zubairu Dada and local government officials, commended Justice Bashir's intervention and Governor Bago's continued investment in education and infrastructure.
