Judiciary trains Zamfara magistrates, high court staff

The Zamfara State judiciary has organized a training workshop aimed at enhancing the skills of magistrates, state high court staff, and other stakeholders in the justice system. The workshop's opening was marked by remarks from the Chief Judge of Zamfara State, Justice Kulu Aliyu, who emphasized the critical role of adequate funding in enabling the judiciary to fulfill its constitutional responsibilities.

As we gather here today, we must acknowledge with appreciation the role of the government in making this workshop a reality.

Justice Aliyu expressed sincere appreciation to the Zamfara State government, particularly Governor Dauda Lawal, for providing the necessary funds to make the workshop a reality. She also acknowledged the governor's ongoing commitment to improving service delivery within the state's judiciary and noted the current renovation work at the High Court Complex and the construction of Magistrate Courts across the state.

I want to appreciate the governor’s support and commitment towards improving the quality of our service delivery in the judiciary sector of the state.

The Chief Judge urged participants to engage openly, share knowledge, and contribute constructively to discussions that would shape policy and strengthen justice administration. She expressed hope that the workshop would foster stronger networks and contribute meaningfully to justice delivery within Zamfara State and Nigeria as a whole.

Representing Governor Dauda Lawal, the Speaker of the Zamfara House of Assembly, Bilyaminu Moriki, declared the workshop open, describing it as timely. Governor Lawal reiterated his administration's commitment to providing all necessary support to the judiciary in its efforts to promote justice and human rights. He encouraged participants to actively learn from the resource persons during the technical sessions.
