President Bola Tinubu convened a crucial meeting with governors from his All Progressives Congress (APC) party at the Aso Rock Presidential Villa in Abuja. The gathering, which commenced later than its initially planned time, saw key state executives converging for discussions that, as of the time of reporting, remained undisclosed.

The presence of governors from Borno, Imo, Gombe, Benue, Ekiti, Enugu, and Kwara states, among others, underscores the significance of this parley. Some states were represented by their deputy governors, indicating the high level of attention this meeting commanded within the ruling party's hierarchy.

This high-stakes consultation follows closely on the heels of an equally important, albeit separate, closed-door session between President Tinubu and the Senate's extended leadership.
