Kılıçdaroğlu calls for unity, focus on justice after party split

Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, who assumed the role of CHP General Chairman following a "conclusive nullity" decision, has called for party unity and a focus on grassroots engagement. Speaking at an event at the CHP Istanbul Provincial Directorate, Kılıçdaroğlu addressed the recent departure of Özgür Özel and 90 lawmakers to form a new party.

Kılıçdaroğlu highlighted his recent visit to agricultural workers in Ankara, stressing that politicians must stand with ordinary people, not just in affluent neighborhoods, as befits a "people's party."

He stressed that no member of the CHP can stand alongside those involved in corruption. The party aims to address the needs of millions of young people, which he identified as a major failing of the current government.
