Kaduna State committed to deepening reforms for better services - Governor Sani

Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani has pledged to deepen reforms aimed at strengthening fiscal resilience and enhancing service delivery across the state. Speaking during a courtesy visit from the Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission, Sani emphasized that all government financial resources will be used to deliver measurable value to the people.

Governor Sani highlighted significant progress in fiscal sustainability, healthcare, and education over the past three years. He attributed these transformative outcomes to prudent resource management, institutional reforms, and strategic investments. The administration's efforts have focused on diversifying revenue sources, modernizing tax administration through technology, and improving compliance. Initiatives like Project C.R.A.F.T. and the PAYKADUNA platform have simplified revenue payments, increased transparency, and reduced financial leakages, leading to a notable rise in the state's Internally Generated Revenue (IGR).

Furthermore, the governor noted that building public confidence has been a key strategy, leading to strengthened voluntary tax compliance. He stated that citizens are more willing to contribute when they witness responsible management of public resources and tangible improvements in public services. The administration has also undertaken extensive upgrades to healthcare infrastructure, transforming primary health centers into centers of excellence, procuring modern medical equipment, and recruiting additional healthcare personnel.

In education, Kaduna State has achieved near-perfect gender parity in school enrollment, a milestone attributed to sustained collaboration with development partners on programs like AGILE and ROOSC, which have expanded opportunities for girls and other vulnerable children. Governor Sani assured the commission that these reforms and investments are central to his administration's development strategy.
