KAI Offers Rp 1 Fare to New JIS Station for One Week

The Jakarta International Stadium (JIS) station was officially inaugurated by the DKI Jakarta provincial government on Monday, June 22, 2026. Located adjacent to the stadium, the station has commenced limited operational services for passengers.

During this initial phase, the KRL Commuter Line will operate daily from 5:30 AM to 9:00 PM WIB, with trains running every 30 minutes. Passengers traveling from Jakarta Kota, Kampung Bandan, or Ancol stations must first reach Tanjung Priok station to catch the KRL route connecting Tanjung Priok and Jakarta Kota, which includes a stop at JIS station. KAI has designated Platform 1 specifically for passengers heading to Ancol, Kampung Bandan, or Jakarta Kota.

KAI has prepared Platform 1, which specifically serves customers with destinations to Ancol, Kampung Bandan, and Jakarta Kota.

To commemorate Jakarta's 499th anniversary, KAI is offering a special promotional fare of Rp 1 for all trips to and from JIS station. This offer is valid for Commuter Line Tanjung Priok passengers traveling between JIS and Tanjung Priok, Ancol, Kampung Bandan, and Jakarta Kota, as well as those traveling from these stations to JIS. The promotion runs throughout the limited operational period, from June 22 to June 28, 2026.

This special fare applies to Commuter Line Tanjung Priok customers who board at JIS Station heading to Tanjung Priok, Ancol, Kampung Bandan, and Jakarta Kota stations, as well as customers from these stations who disembark at JIS Station.

KAI views the limited operation of JIS station as a crucial step in strengthening public transportation access in North Jakarta. The station is expected to significantly ease mobility for people visiting JIS and its surrounding areas. The activation of JIS station is closely linked to the need for public transport services connecting directly to large-scale event venues. The stadium's substantial capacity necessitates reliable rail transport to manage passenger flow efficiently and make the area more accessible.

KAI has observed a positive trend in customer mobility along the Tanjung Priok route. The number of passengers has steadily increased from 1,599,107 in 2022 to 3,531,311 in 2025. In the first five months of 2026, the line has already served 1,468,660 passengers, indicating growing demand for this service.
