Kallithea apartment fire: Bedridden woman rescued and taken to Sotiria hospital with burns

Firefighters rushed into a ground-floor apartment in Kallithea after receiving information that a bedridden woman was trapped inside during a fire on Mykinon Street.

The blaze broke out on Wednesday afternoon and prompted a major emergency response. Twelve firefighters arrived within minutes in four vehicles, including an aerial platform truck, and immediately entered the apartment.

They brought the woman outside. She had suffered burns and was taken to Sotiria hospital for treatment.
