Kangnam halts filming after herniated disc rupture while putting on socks

South Korean singer Kangnam has been forced to pause his filming schedule after suffering a herniated disc rupture. The incident occurred unexpectedly while he was engaged in a simple daily activity.

According to a video posted on the YouTube channel 'Neighborhood Friend Kangnami,' Kangnam explained that the pain began while he was putting on socks. His condition worsened after he went for a run, leading him to seek medical attention. Detailed examinations revealed that a cyst formed from a previously neglected disc issue was pressing on a nerve.

Despite a documented fear of needles, Kangnam underwent the procedure and subsequent hospitalization. He shared his recovery status with his wife, speed skater Lee Sang-hwa, revealing he received a diagnosis prohibiting running for three months. He also shared updates on his recovery, including receiving care from his friend Choi Seung-ri, whom he met on the reality show 'I Live Alone.'
