Kano gov mourns elder statesman Shehu Yahaya

Kano State Governor Abba Yusuf has expressed deep sadness following the death of elder statesman Alhaji Shehu Yahaya. In a statement released by his spokesperson, Sunusi Tofa, Governor Yusuf characterized the late Yahaya as a businessman who embodied honesty and integrity throughout his life.

Yusuf emphasized Yahaya's dedication to his local community in Dakata Kawaji, Nasarawa Local Government Area, and his efforts in fostering peace. The governor noted that Yahaya leaves behind a legacy of selfless service, leadership, and philanthropy.

"The passing of Alhaji Shehu Yahaya is a painful loss not only to his family but also to the entire people of Kano State," Yusuf stated. "We have lost a father, a respected businessman and a patriotic citizen whose contributions to humanity and society will continue to be remembered for generations."

The governor prayed for the deceased's soul and for strength for his family and the people of Kano State to bear the loss. Alhaji Shehu Yahaya is survived by several children, including Muhammad Shehu, a Senior Manager at Gerawa Group of Companies.
