Kano governor claims 90% of campaign promises delivered in three years

Kano State Governor Abba Yusuf asserted that his administration has successfully delivered on approximately 90 percent of its campaign pledges during his three years in office. Speaking on Saturday while receiving the Emir of Rano, Ambassador Muhammad Isa Umaru, at the Government House, Yusuf detailed the progress made across various sectors.

I am pleased to state that our administration has successfully fulfilled about 90 per cent of the promises we made to the people of Kano State within three years of assuming office.

The governor emphasized his administration's commitment to people-oriented policies and developmental projects. He noted significant advancements in education, healthcare, infrastructure, agriculture, water supply, youth empowerment, and economic development, all aimed at enhancing residents' living standards and positioning Kano for sustainable growth. "Our government came with a clear vision to improve the lives of our people, and Alhamdulillah, we have made remarkable progress in key sectors that directly affect the wellbeing of citizens," Yusuf stated.

Yusuf assured that his administration would not cease efforts until all outstanding commitments are met, expressing determination to complete the remaining promises before the end of his tenure. He pledged to maintain the current pace of development, ensuring all parts of Kano State benefit from ongoing programs and projects. Specifically addressing the people of Rano Emirate, he confirmed that major projects for the area, including the expansion and dualization of the Karfi–Rano Road and the renovation of the Emir’s Palace, are priorities.

We are determined to complete the remaining promises before the end of our tenure. We will continue to sustain the pace of development and ensure that every part of Kano State benefits from our programmes and projects.

The Emir of Rano, Muhammad Isa Umaru, commended the governor for his achievements, particularly praising the completion of five-kilometer roads in Rano, Kibiya, and Bunkure Local Government Areas, and the continuation of the Kaluwaiwai Water Project. He expressed appreciation for the support and confidence shown by the people of the Rano Emirate, acknowledging their patience and trust in the administration's work.

I want to assure the people of Rano that the expansion and dualisation of the Karfi–Rano Road remains a priority. We are also committed to providing subsidised fertiliser to our farmers and renovating the Emir’s Palace, among other projects that will improve the lives of our people.
