The event, originally slated for Saturday, August 14, at the Almaty Central Stadium, will now take place on Sunday, August 15. Organizers cited health and safety concerns as the primary reason for the postponement, assuring fans that the rapper would perform the following day.

The rapper himself confirmed the postponement via social media, posting, "Due to weather conditions today’s concert will be postponed until tomorrow. Health and safety is priority. See you tomorrow." This decision came after fans had already gathered at the stadium, braving heavy rain and high winds that swept through the city. The weather took a sharp turn for the worse just hours before the scheduled start time, following a local blackout that had also affected the area.

This concert, part of West's world tour, marked his first major stadium performance in Kazakhstan, although he had visited the country previously. The event's planning was not without its challenges. News of the concert, initially announced on July 17, immediately led to a dispute with the Kairat football club, which uses the Central Stadium for its home matches. The club raised concerns about the coordination of the concert date and the potential damage to the pitch from the stage setup and dismantling. These issues led to a delay in ticket sales by 24 hours. Ultimately, West secured the venue, and Kairat's potential home match was relocated to the Turkistan Arena.
