Kaohsiung Announces Traffic Controls for K-SPARK Concert

Kaohsiung is preparing for a significant influx of fans for the "K-SPARK IN KAOHSIUNG 2026" concert, set to take place on May 30 at the World Games Stadium. The event is expected to draw a large crowd, prompting the city's traffic bureau to implement comprehensive traffic control measures.

World Games Boulevard will be closed to all vehicular and motorcycle traffic from 8 a.m. on May 30 until 1 a.m. the following day. Parking for private vehicles will not be available at the venue. The traffic bureau strongly advises attendees to use public transportation, specifically the MRT, or the provided free shuttle bus service.

To facilitate access, a free shuttle bus service will run between the Zuoying High-Speed Rail Station and the World Games Stadium. Buses will operate from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. for attendees arriving and from 9:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. for those departing. The MRT will increase its service frequency during peak departure times, with trains running every 3 to 5 minutes to ensure smooth passenger flow.

Temporary motorcycle parking areas have been designated near the stadium. However, the traffic bureau emphasizes that no car parking will be provided and strictly prohibits temporary drop-offs and pick-ups on roads surrounding the venue, with enhanced enforcement against illegal parking. Drivers are urged to avoid the immediate vicinity of the stadium and consider alternative routes, utilizing major roads like Minzu Road, Bo'ai Road, and Gaotie Road for north-south travel, and Jiachang Road, Xinzhuang 1st Road, and Shuiguan Road for east-west travel.
