Kaohsiung Police Car Crashes Into Seedling Garden Late at Night; One Officer Injured

A police patrol car from Kaohsiung's Linyuan Precinct unexpectedly left its lane and crashed into a seedling garden late Tuesday night. The incident occurred around 11:40 p.m. as officers were returning to the station after assisting with a medical transport.

The vehicle collided with the roadside fence of the nursery in Kaohsiung's Niaosong District. The officer in the passenger seat suffered minor abrasions to their hands and feet and was transported to a hospital for treatment. Fortunately, no other individuals were injured in the collision.

Authorities confirmed the driver tested negative for alcohol. The Linyuan Precinct stated they are thoroughly investigating the cause of the accident and will determine responsibility according to regulations. The precinct has initiated a welfare mechanism for the injured officer and will arrange for the repair of the damaged patrol car. They also plan to reinforce defensive and safe driving training for officers to ensure their safety during duty.
