Kaohsiung Police Stations Upgrade: Nanzhi Station to Finish by Year-End, Fengshan Station by October Next Year

Kaohsiung City is enhancing public safety with significant investments in new police facilities. The city is constructing the Nan Cheng Police Station in Fengshan District and the Yuan Zhong Police Station and Community Center in Nanzhi District, with a total budget of NT$430 million.

The Nan Cheng Station in Fengshan is designed with the "Great Ship Entering Port" concept, reflecting the local theme of Dalinpu. This three-story building will feature facade lines symbolizing setting sail and incorporate green building design. It will also include amenities for officers, such as a gym and recreation room. Construction has just begun, with an estimated completion date of October next year.

Meanwhile, the Yuan Zhong Police Station and Community Center in Nanzhi is being built to accommodate the area's growth, partly driven by the presence of TSMC. This multi-functional complex, designed with an "Urban Hill" concept, will feature a staggered architectural design creating rooftop gardens on each level. Mayor Chen Chi-mai described it as a "five-star police station."

The Yuan Zhong Station will house multiple government services. The first two floors will be the police station, the third floor a childcare center, the fourth floor the household registration office, the fifth floor a day care center, and the sixth floor a large assembly hall and conference rooms for the district office. This integrated approach aims to provide comprehensive community services, making it more convenient for residents. The project is slated for completion by the end of this year.
