Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor recently took a trip down memory lane, celebrating the 26th anniversary of her debut film, "Refugee." The actress marked the occasion on June 30 by sharing nostalgic stills from the 2000 movie on her social media accounts.

Kapoor posted two iconic images from the film. One captured an emotional embrace with her co-star Abhishek Bachchan, while the other was a close-up portrait of herself. She accompanied the posts with a simple red heart emoji, letting the images speak for themselves.

Directed by J.P. Dutta, "Refugee" was released on June 30, 2000, and served as the acting launchpad for both Kapoor and Bachchan. The film's narrative unfolds against the backdrop of the Great Rann of Kutch, near the India-Pakistan border. It tells the story of an unnamed man, known only as Refugee, who illegally assists people in crossing the border. His life takes a significant turn when he falls in love with a woman named Naznee.
