Karlovac Celebrates 447th Birthday with Grand Ball and Jelena Rozga Concert

Karlovac is set to celebrate its 447th birthday today, marking the grand finale of the "Zvjezdano ljeto" (Starry Summer) festival after three weeks of vibrant programming.

The day's festivities began early with a traditional "Budnica" (wake-up call) at 6:00 AM, heralding the most festive day of the year. The central event, the traditional Birthday Ball, will commence at 8:00 PM at the Sokolski dom playground. This year, the ball will feature exactly 447 dancing pairs, a symbolic number representing each year of the city's proud history.

Following the unique dance spectacle, which brings together all generations of Karlovac residents and guests, the evening's entertainment will continue with performances by local acts Bronz & Black&White Band. This serves as a perfect prelude to the main musical act.

The celebration will officially conclude with a highly anticipated concert by Jelena Rozga, one of the region's most popular music stars. Starting at 9:00 PM, Rozga is expected to electrify the crowd with her well-known hits, energetic performance, and top-notch production, adding a spectacular musical flourish to the city's 447th birthday.
