Karlovačko Beer to Flow Freely from Fountain at City's Annual Beer Days Festival

The city of Karlovac is preparing to host the 39th annual Karlovac Beer Days festival, a significant event that draws tens of thousands of visitors from Croatia and abroad. The festival, scheduled from August 28 to September 1, is a cornerstone of the city's identity, celebrating not only beer culture but also gastronomy, social gatherings, and responsible enjoyment.

Karlovac Mayor Damir Mandić emphasized the festival's importance, stating, "Beer Days are part of Karlovac's identity and one of the events for which our city is recognized beyond its borders." He highlighted the goal of making Karlovac more accessible to visitors and showcasing its beauty. The mayor also thanked HEINEKEN Croatia, Karla–Žitoproizvod, and Autotransport Karlovac for their partnership in organizing the event, which serves as a vital meeting place for locals and guests.

This year's festival boasts an extensive five-day music program. The opening on Friday, August 28, will feature performances by Bejbe, DJ I'M, and Minee, culminating in a concert by Severina. Subsequent days will showcase a diverse lineup including Luzeri, Hiljson Mandela, Urban & 4, Indira, and Petar Grašo, among others.

Beer Days are part of Karlovac's identity and one of the events for which our city is recognized beyond its borders. The idea of this event is to open up and bring Karlovac closer to visitors even more and show them all the beauties of Karlovac.

A central attraction will be the "World of Beer" in the Gastro Corner, offering visitors a chance to taste exclusive beer brands. Among the featured brews are Mort Subite, Red Stripe, Tiger, Union Premium Nefiltrirano Svijetlo, Gösser Helles, Zipfer Märzen, Krušovice, Lagunitas IPA, Sol, and Birra Moretti, alongside the well-known Heineken® and Karlovačko.

Maud Meijboom-van Wel, President of HEINEKEN Croatia, expressed enthusiasm for the festival's role in the city's heritage. "Although Karlovac is a city on four rivers, for more than 170 years, a fifth has flowed through it – our Karlovačko," she said. "Beer Days are therefore not just a festival for us, but part of this city's identity, a symbol of togetherness, cooperation, and, of course, good fun with friends." A special highlight on the first day will be a fountain dispensing free Karlovačko beer.
