Karsten Edwards feels lucky to have Nigel Hayes-Davis as a role model

Karsten Edwards cherishes the bond he shares with Nigel Hayes-Davis, a relationship that extends far beyond the basketball court.

The Zalgiris Kaunas guard spoke about how his friendship with the former Fenerbahce teammate developed, noting that they connected quickly due to shared interests and a mutual emphasis on family values.

Edwards views Hayes-Davis as a significant role model, learning from his experiences and his approach to the sport. "Nigel has been through many good and bad times, so I learn from him," Edwards stated. "The level he has reached and his behavior towards the sport... I am lucky to have such an example by my side."

The two Americans first met as opponents in college basketball before becoming teammates at Fenerbahce. It was during their time in Turkey that their friendship truly solidified, a connection that continues to be a source of support and inspiration for Edwards.
