Karting: A demanding and competitive second Clausura round at Ñu Guasu

The second round of the Clausura Tournament in Paraguay’s National Karting Championship delivered a demanding day of racing at the Parque de la Velocidad kart track in Ñu Guasu. The event also marked the sixth meeting of the 2026 season, with conditions changing from cool to cold and testing the teams’ strategies.

The Karting Club Paraguayo organized the competition on track variant No. 3. The layout again produced close categories and races that remained competitive from start to finish. Sixty-five karts lined up for the event, which the club presented as a major showcase for the country’s young motorsport talent.

After qualifying, the heats and the finals, Leo Noguera won Semillero, Tiago González took Cadete, Tony Pugliesi won Rotax Micro Max, Mauricio Nielsen prevailed in Fórmula Mundial, Marcos Balmori won F4, Sebastián Galeano took Rotax Junior Max and Derlis Núñez finished first in Rotax Senior Max.

Semillero had eight starters and three different winners across its three heats before Noguera won the final. “Chicho” Galeano finished second and Enzo Abbate third. Cadete featured six drivers in a closely fought set of heats, with González claiming his second straight Clausura victory ahead of Ferrán Mendoza and Alban Mussi. In Rotax Micro Max, Pugliesi dominated from start to finish, winning all three heats.
