Kasia Lins Sweeps Fryderyk Awards; Zalewski Cracks Political Joke

Kasia Lins emerged as the biggest winner at the Fryderyk Festival 2026's Gala Muzyki Rozrywkowej, securing three awards for her album "Obywatelka K.L.", which features new interpretations of compositions by Republika and Grzegorz Ciechowski. Lins was honored as Artist of the Year, her album won Album of the Year Pop Alternative, and her music video "Śmierć w bikini" took home Video of the Year.

Zalia was another prominent recipient, earning two awards: Album of the Year Pop for her self-titled album and Single of the Year Pop for her collaboration "kyoto" with Kuban and Favst. Daria ze Śląska received the award for Single of the Year Pop Alternative/Rock for "A może jeszcze się da."

In the rock and blues categories, Błażej Król's "Popiół" and WaluśKraksaKryzys's "Tematy i wariacje" shared the award for Album of the Year Rock & Blues. Coma's "Coma Live Pol'and'Rock Festival 2024" won Album of the Year Metal.

The hip-hop awards saw Pezet win Album of the Year Hip Hop for "Muzyka Popularna," while O.S.T.R.'s "SAM" was named Single of the Year Hip Hop. Michał Fox Król's "City Cluster" was recognized as Album of the Year Alternative Music, and Pszona received the award for Phonographic Debut of the Year.

The gala also presented Golden Fryderyk awards for lifetime achievement. Stanisław Soyka received his posthumously, and the active band Lady Pank was also honored. Performers included Krzysztof Zalewski, who also co-hosted with Gabi Drzewiecka. During the event, Zalewski humorously responded to a question about the most popular single by naming "Jarosław Kaczyński."
