Kathmandu events: Fashion workshop, art exhibitions, and more this week

Kathmandu's cultural scene is buzzing with diverse events this week, offering something for everyone. Taragaon Next is hosting a two-day design intensive workshop from August 29 to 30, aimed at aspiring fashion designers, students, and recent graduates.

For those seeking spiritual and community connection, a community bhajan gathering is scheduled for August 29 at Attic Restaurant. This event is also serving as a collective prayer for families affected by recent disasters.

Art lovers have several options, including a solo exhibition by artist Bivas Rai at Siddhartha Art Gallery, running from September 3 to 20. Additionally, Gallery MCube will present a group exhibition titled 'Made in Mind' starting September 4, curated by Manish Lal Shrestha, exploring contemporary works on perception and imagination.

Creative hands-on experiences are also available. A 'Clay & Coffee Weekend' on August 29 offers a relaxed pottery session, while the International Institute of Gastronomy is holding a beginner-friendly No-Bake Cheesecake Workshop on the same day.
