Katsina 2027: Minister Mobilises 1 Million Votes for Tinubu, Radda's Re-election

Nigeria's Minister of Housing and Urban Development, Dr. Muttaka Rabe-Darma, has vowed to secure more than one million votes for President Bola Tinubu and Governor Dikko Radda in the 2027 general elections. This pledge was announced on Sunday in Katsina by Mr. Abubakar Tsanni, the Director-General of Grassroots Mobilisation for Tinubu/Dikko (GMTD 2027), a support group founded by the minister.

Tsanni stated that the GMTD group is dedicated to mobilizing grassroots support and ensuring the success of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the upcoming elections. The group has reportedly established robust structures from the polling unit level up to the state level, with local politicians coordinating activities. These structures are intended to deliver the desired electoral success for the APC candidates in Katsina state.

According to Tsanni, the group has already accounted for 165 votes from each of the state's 6,651 polling units, projecting a total of over 1.079 million votes. He expressed confidence that these committed voters, each possessing a voter card, are awaiting the election period to cast their ballots for Tinubu and Radda.

APC chieftain Mr. Danlami Kurfi, speaking on behalf of the minister, praised Rabe-Darma as a strong grassroots mobilizer. Kurfi asserted that the minister's commitment, combined with the APC's growing national support, would lead to victory in the 2027 elections. He urged party members to remain focused and disregard opposition statements.

Alhaji Ali Abubakar-Albaba, Chairman of the Katsina State House of Assembly Committee on Women Affairs, also assured the political groups of continued support and inclusion. He called for unity among party members to work towards achieving success in the forthcoming polls.
