Katsina Governor Commissions Cassava/Garri Processing Centre

Katsina State Governor Dikko Umaru Radda has inaugurated a new Cassava/Gari Processing Centre in Batsari Local Government Area, underscoring his administration's dedication to enhancing agricultural value chains and fostering economic growth. The facility was named the Abba Sayyadi Ruma Cassava/Gari Processing Centre in honor of the late former Minister of Agriculture and Water Resources.

During the commissioning ceremony, Governor Radda highlighted the project as a fulfillment of his campaign promises to improve citizens' lives through practical development. "Today is a celebration of vision. It is the fulfilment of a promise," he stated, emphasizing his administration's commitment to agriculture, job creation, rural development, and poverty reduction.

"Real prosperity lies in adding value to what we produce," Radda asserted, noting that while Nigeria is the world's largest cassava producer, inadequate processing facilities limit farmer benefits.
