The city recently hosted a significant event that brought together experts to discuss the latest innovations and practices in plastic, reconstructive, and aesthetic surgery.

Foreign surgeons' participation in such international meetings once again confirms that Kaunas and Lithuania already have a strong point on the surgery map. Moreover, the growing interest from participants and speakers shows that our country's specialists are not only adopting international experience but can also provide valuable knowledge themselves.

"Nordclinic," a leading private surgical clinic in the Baltics and a sponsor of the event, highlighted the importance of such international gatherings. The clinic, which performs over 5,000 operations annually on patients from more than 30 countries, emphasized that these events are crucial for medical progress. Dr. Andrius Pajėda, a plastic and reconstructive surgeon at "Nordclinic," noted that the growing interest from international participants confirms Lithuania's strong position on the surgical map and its specialists' ability to contribute valuable knowledge.

The conference featured 24 presentations on various plastic surgery topics, with both international speakers and "Nordclinic" surgeons sharing their insights. Notable foreign participants included Dr. Romeu Fadul, Dr. Raul Chioibas, Prof. Dr. Bülent Saçak, and Ghassan W. Said. Lithuanian surgeons like Goda Aštrauskaitė, Tautvydas Urbonas, Mantas Kievišas, Dr. Gediminas Samulėnas, and Dr. Pajėda also contributed. Discussions covered body contouring, breast surgeries, facial and abdominal techniques, the concept of beauty, and patient communication.
