Kazakhstan braces for thunderstorms, hail, and heat up to 39 degrees

Kazakhstan is set for a period of volatile weather as a slow-moving western cyclone influences most of the country from June 9-11. Residents can expect a mix of rain, thunderstorms, and potentially severe conditions including squalls and hail.

The unstable weather pattern will bring varied temperatures across the nation. While western regions may experience heat up to 35°C, northern areas will see a cooler drop to 17-28°C. Central and northeastern parts will range from 25-33°C, and southern and southeastern areas will feel the heat at 27-35°C. However, the eastern regions are forecast to remain particularly hot, with temperatures potentially reaching a high of 39°C.

Heavy rainfall is anticipated in the northwest and north on June 9-11, with southeastern Kazakhstan also expecting significant rain on June 11. Conversely, the eastern part of the country will see mostly dry conditions at the beginning of this period, and the southwest will remain dry from mid-period onwards.
