Kazakhstan Faces Unstable Weather with Rain, Thunderstorms, and Heatwaves

Kazakhstan is bracing for a period of unstable weather as atmospheric frontal systems move across the country from June 13 to 15. Meteorologists predict widespread rain and thunderstorms throughout the coming days.

Several regions are particularly vulnerable to heavy rainfall. The Kostanay region can expect significant downpours on June 13 and 15. Additionally, the Mangystau, North Kazakhstan, and Akmola regions are forecast to receive heavy rain on June 15.

Accompanying the rain, residents in the north and northwest can anticipate hail and squally winds. On June 15, these conditions are also expected in the southwest. Wind speeds are predicted to increase across the entire republic. Meanwhile, parts of the country will experience intense heat, with daytime temperatures soaring between +35°C and +38°C. This extreme heat is forecast for the East Kazakhstan and Abai regions throughout the weekend, extending to the Karaganda, Zhambyl, Almaty, and Zhetysu regions on June 14–15, and the Atyrau region on June 15.
