Kazakhstan weather forecast: Rain, thunderstorms, and squalls expected

The mountainous areas around Almaty, specifically the Ile-Alatau mountains, can expect daytime showers and thunderstorms, with winds gusting up to 15-20 m/s and temperatures ranging from 8-13°C at night to 20-25°C during the day.

Shymkent, however, will enjoy variable cloudiness with no precipitation. North-easterly winds will blow at 8-13 m/s, with gusts up to 15-20 m/s. Nighttime temperatures are forecast at 20-22°C, with daytime highs reaching a significant 36-38°C.

Across various regions, forecasts indicate a pattern of rain and thunderstorms, particularly in the south and east, often accompanied by squalls. Wind speeds are expected to be considerable in many areas, with gusts frequently exceeding 15 m/s. Temperature variations will be notable, with cool nights contrasted by intense daytime heat in some locations, reaching up to 36°C in western and southern parts of Akmola Region.
