Kazakhstan Wins Two Gold Medals in Asian U-19 Boxing Championship Finals Against India

Kazakhstan has claimed two gold medals at the Asian U-19 Boxing Championships held in Jakarta, Indonesia, following victories by Aidana Ubaidullakyzy and Zarina Tolybai in their respective weight classes against Indian opponents.

In the final bout of the under-80 kilogram category, Ubaidullakyzy faced India's Megha Sheokand. The fight went the full distance, with the Kazakhstani athlete ultimately winning by judges' decision. This victory earned Ubaidullakyzy the gold medal in the U-19 Asian Championships.

Another Kazakhstani athlete, Zarina Tolybai, competing in the over-80 kilogram division, also faced India's Preeti Tokas in her final match. The judges awarded the victory to Tolybai by unanimous decision, securing another gold medal for Kazakhstan at the 2026 U-19 Asian Championships.

These wins add to Kazakhstan's success at the tournament. Earlier, Kamila Ospanova had secured Kazakhstan's first gold medal in the U-19 championships by defeating Uzbekistan's Maftuna Yangiyeva in the final. The tournament is set to conclude tomorrow with the men's team finals.
