Kazma draws Al-Ettifaq, Ajman & Erbil in Gulf Champions League

Kuwaiti club Kazma will face Saudi Arabian side Al-Ettifaq, UAE's Ajman, and Iraq's Erbil in Group C of the 2026-27 Gulf Champions League. The draw, held Monday at the Arab Gulf Football Federation (AGCFF) headquarters in Doha, divided 12 clubs into three groups for the regional tournament.

The competition is slated to commence on October 13 and will run until April 30, 2027. The format will see the top two teams from each of the three groups advancing to the quarterfinals, joined by the two best third-placed teams from across all groups.

Kazma, a two-time winner of the Gulf Champions League in 1987 and 1995, has a notable history in the competition. The Kuwaiti club also finished as runners-up in 1988 and 1997. The tournament, first held in 1982, aims to foster competition among top clubs in the Gulf region.

Other notable draws include Qatar's Al Duhail in Group A with Neom (Saudi Arabia), Al Shabab (Oman), and Shabwat Hadramout (Yemen). Group B features Al-Nasr (UAE), Qatar SC, Al-Zawraa (Iraq), and Al-Riffa (Bahrain).
