KDH demands working group for new hospital completion

The KDH party, a significant voice in Slovakia's political landscape, is reiterating its commitment to the crucial issue of hospital construction. While acknowledging the importance of this national priority, as highlighted by President Peter Pellegrini's call for continued development post-2027 parliamentary elections, KDH is refusing to offer a blank check. Our stance, as articulated by MPs Peter Stachura and František Majerský, is one of responsible oversight and fiscal prudence.

This body would be tasked with rigorously assessing the precise financial requirements to bring these hospitals to a patient-ready state, identifying secure funding streams, and ensuring that every Slovak koruna is spent with maximum efficiency. This is not a radical position; it is a necessary one to safeguard public funds and guarantee the long-term viability of our healthcare infrastructure.

We are sending letters to both the President and the Minister of Health, urging a collaborative approach through a round table discussion and the formation of the proposed working group. We want to know the exact price needed to complete all hospitals to a state where patients can be treated. We want to know where this money will come from, and for that, we want a working group to be established that would deal with the issue of obtaining resources for the completion of hospitals. And thirdly, we demand that this completion proceeds economically.
