Kebbi Governor Meets Security Chiefs To Review State Security Architecture

Kebbi State Governor Dr. Nasir Idris has called an emergency security meeting to bolster the state's defenses against rising threats. The gathering in Birnin Kebbi brought together security chiefs and government officials to assess and strengthen the state's security architecture.

Commissioner for Home Affairs and Internal Security, Hon. Haliru Wasagu, stated that the meeting focused on identifying weaknesses in existing strategies and refining operational responses. Governor Idris directed security agencies to increase patrols, surveillance, and intelligence gathering in identified hotspots. Wasagu emphasized the governor's commitment to protecting lives and property and creating a favorable environment for economic activities.

"Our Governor is fully committed to flushing out criminal elements and dismantling their hideouts. Anyone found engaging in criminal activities will face the full weight of the law," Wasagu relayed, quoting the governor. He added that the administration continues to support security personnel with logistics, mobility, and welfare to improve their effectiveness.

Wasagu appealed to the public for cooperation, urging residents to provide timely and credible information to help apprehend criminals. He stressed that public vigilance and collaboration are crucial for combating crime and maintaining peace. The Commissioner also commended the security agencies for their dedication and sacrifices in ensuring safety across Kebbi State.
