The extensive renovation included replacing 226 fan coil units, updating the central chiller plant, and renewing cooling towers and piping. The new system is projected to cut electricity consumption by approximately 570,000 kilowatt-hours annually, a substantial saving that aligns with broader sustainability goals. The Department of Economic Development highlighted the 28.6% increase in energy efficiency as a key achievement of the project.

Early signs are promising, with one food vendor reportedly enjoying a full house on their first day back. The second floor of Ren'ai Market began construction on March 16th. Major items such as the replacement of 226 fan coil units, the dismantling and updating of the chiller plant, the replacement of cooling towers, and the replacement of insulation pipes and outdoor cooling water pipes have been completed. The main unit and pipeline test runs have also been completed and are currently operating normally.
