Ankara, Turkey – Following a significant court ruling reinstating him as the leader of the Republican People's Party (CHP), Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu has officially resumed his duties, as confirmed by his newly appointed Press Advisor, Atakan Sönmez. Sönmez conveyed that Kılıçdaroğlu has already commenced intensive work, engaging in numerous face-to-face meetings and phone calls with members of parliament, the party council, mayors, and provincial and district administrators.

From the moment the court decision was made, the Chairman's duty has also begun. The Party Council determined by the 37th Congress and all the boards elected there officially started their duties as of yesterday.

Sönmez moved swiftly to dispel circulating misinformation, particularly regarding alleged appointments to the party's Central Executive Board (MYK). "There is no such thing currently," Sönmez stated emphatically, assuring the public that any official appointments would be formally announced. This clarification aims to quell internal speculation and maintain party unity during this transitional period.

He added that if Kılıçdaroğlu's voice improves by the end of the day, a brief statement might be possible. Sönmez also confirmed that Kılıçdaroğlu will be visiting the CHP headquarters soon, emphasizing that "wherever the Chairman of the Republican People's Party is, that is the General Headquarters." The advisor stressed that Kılıçdaroğlu seeks to avoid being a party to any internal tensions, focusing instead on consolidating the party's direction.
