KEP Association completes global public procurement and export leadership course

Forty-two business leaders have completed a South Korean training programme designed to help companies introduce artificial intelligence into global public procurement and export operations.

The Korea Association for Government Procurement and Export Promotion, known as the KEP Association, held the leadership course as a series of breakfast seminars. The programme focused on strategies for adopting AI systems in global procurement and exports, including 2026 procurement trends, the shift toward AI transformation, overseas-market entry and risk management.

The course ran in two groups, from July 2 to 30 and from Aug. 6 to Sept. 3, with sessions held each Thursday. Participants examined how AI is being applied to public procurement and exports and studied material intended for use in their daily work.

The KEP Association plans to follow the leadership programme with regional courses for working professionals. Seoul will host training on trade compliance, customs and ESG risk management. Daejeon will offer courses on trade-finance risk management and global trade, logistics data analysis and supply-chain management, while Busan will hold another trade-compliance, customs and ESG risk-management course. The association will also operate an AI convergence specialist programme focused on digital trade.
