Kesco Joins F5 Housing Renewal Project for Third Straight Year

Kesco has joined the F5 Renewal Project for the third consecutive year, using its window-installation expertise to help create a safer and more comfortable home for a vulnerable household in Daejeon.

The project, organized by Chungnam National University’s ESG Center, brings together government, business and academic partners to improve living spaces in poor condition. Its work covers wallpaper and flooring, windows, boiler repairs, energy-efficiency assessments and household furniture.

An occupancy ceremony took place on Sept. 1 at the recipient household in Songgang-dong, Yuseong-gu. Kesco CEO Noh Chang-jin attended with the president of Chungnam National University and representatives from the Korea Minting, Security Printing & ID Card Operating Corp. and the Korea Gas Technology Corp. The two public corporations provided project funding. Inart donated furniture, Kesco provided the window work, and SCV Production contributed video production.

Kesco has participated in all three rounds since the project began. The company says it has repeatedly handled detailed measurements, installation and construction management on site, aiming to improve actual housing performance rather than make a one-off donation. It has replaced old windows in more than 18,000 households cumulatively and applied high insulation and airtightness standards to the latest home.
