KFC Taiwan Teams Up with Evangelion for Anime-Themed Menu and Collectibles

KFC Taiwan has launched a limited-time collaboration with the popular anime "Neon Genesis Evangelion," offering fans a unique blend of culinary and collectible experiences. The promotion, running until September 7, centers around KFC's "Explosive Crispy Boneless Chicken Thighs," now available with "Calm White Sauce" (lemon yogurt) and "Fiery Red Sauce" (Korean spicy sauce).

The "Calm White Sauce," inspired by Unit 00, offers a refreshing lemon and yogurt flavor, while the "Fiery Red Sauce," referencing Unit 02, provides a sweet and spicy kick. Both sauces aim to enhance the chicken's crispy texture with distinct flavor profiles.

Beyond the new sauces, the collaboration includes themed packaging and exclusive merchandise. From August 11, members of the "PK Double Enjoy Card" app can purchase a "EVA Blind Card Meal" to receive one of five character cards or three hidden versions. Starting August 25, customers ordering specific meals via the KFC website can add NT$199 for collectible items like character standees, mugs, and multi-use mats.

In addition to the Evangelion tie-in, KFC is introducing a "Sichuan Peppercorn Peanut Egg Tart" from August 11 to August 24. This unique flavor combines the spicy notes of Sichuan peppercorn chicken, the rich taste of peanut lava chicken burgers, and the classic custard egg tart. Customers purchasing designated gift boxes of these tarts will also receive a free "Egg Tart Bouquet DIY Kit" for the Qixi Festival (Chinese Valentine's Day), starting August 14, while supplies last.
