Khanh Hoa Studies Expansion of Nha Trang - Cam Lam Administrative Center

Khanh Hoa province is actively exploring a significant urban development initiative: the expansion of its administrative centers in Nha Trang and Cam Lam. This strategic move, currently under research, signals a forward-thinking approach to managing the province's growth and enhancing its administrative capabilities. The provincial leadership has directed the Department of Finance to spearhead the development of concrete proposals for this expansion, with a firm deadline of May 15th for submission.

This initiative is particularly crucial given the current pressures faced by Nha Trang, the existing administrative and political hub. The city is grappling with limited land resources and strained urban infrastructure, necessitating a broader vision for its development. Simultaneously, Cam Lam is being positioned as a key growth engine for the southern part of Khanh Hoa. Its development into a large-scale new urban area, designed with modern airport-city concepts integrating services, tourism, and logistics, is a cornerstone of the province's long-term strategy.

The provincial People's Committee of Khanh Hoa has assigned the Department of Finance to preside over and coordinate with relevant departments and localities to urgently advise and propose specific plans for the expansion of the Nha Trang - Cam Lam administrative center.

From our perspective in Khanh Hoa, this expansion represents more than just administrative reorganization; it's about creating sustainable economic and social development. The plan to integrate Nha Trang with the emerging urban centers in Cam Lam aims to create a more cohesive and dynamic provincial landscape. The development of new urban areas in Cam Lam, such as Cam Hoa, Cam Thuong, Suoi Tan, and Cam Tan, each spanning hundreds of hectares, reflects a commitment to comprehensive urban planning. This vision extends to 2030, focusing on integrated housing, commercial, service, and tourism facilities, ensuring that the growth is balanced and beneficial for the region.
