Kia XCeed after facelift competes with Chinese brands on price

Kia has introduced the updated XCeed compact SUV to the Polish market, positioning it aggressively against competitors, including emerging Chinese brands, with a starting price of 99,900 PLN. This launch follows the recent introduction of the electric EV2 at the same price point, signaling Kia's strategy to offer value in the compact segment.

The refreshed XCeed boasts significant changes, including updated exterior styling and a thoroughly revised interior. The cabin now features a dual-screen setup, comprising a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 12.3-inch infotainment display. Enhancements also extend to redesigned air vents, a new steering wheel, and upgraded interior materials. Advanced features like Kia Connect services, the Kia App, and a digital key function are also available.

Kia has equipped even the base 'M' trim with notable features such as front parking sensors, a larger central screen, and an electric parking brake with Auto Hold for automatic transmission models. Standard equipment includes LED headlights, a rearview camera, and a suite of driver assistance systems. Higher trims, like the 'L' and 'Business Line,' add features such as blind-spot monitoring, wireless charging, adaptive cruise control, ventilated front seats, and a JBL audio system.

To enhance driving comfort, Kia engineers have modified the suspension and improved cabin sound insulation. The drive mode selection system has also been retuned, offering more distinct differences between 'Normal' and 'Sport' settings. The XCeed is available with two gasoline engines: a 115-hp 1.0 T-GDI three-cylinder paired with a manual transmission, and a more powerful option for those seeking better performance.
