Veteran actress Kim Hye-soo, boasting a career spanning 41 years, articulated her professional philosophy, emphasizing that actors are essentially freelancers who are compensated for their work and therefore have no room for excuses when it comes to their performances.

In a recent YouTube interview on the channel 'PDC by PDC,' alongside co-stars from the Coupang Play series 'The Uncomfortable Truth,' Kim Hye-soo reflected on her extensive career. She highlighted the collaborative nature of acting, noting that strong relationships and impactful scenes are not the product of individual brilliance but rather a collective effort.

An actor is a freelancer who gets paid to work. You are someone who must deliver what you are paid for, and there are no excuses for that.

"I also gain courage, confirmation, and learn through others," Kim Hye-soo stated, downplaying any notion that seniority grants her a special method. She explained that actors often grapple with anxieties about maintaining focus or dealing with fluctuating conditions on set. It is through the shared pursuit of a common goal, she believes, that actors can fill each other's gaps and build confidence.
