Kim Joo-hyung Climbs to Third at Wyndham Championship, One Shot Off Lead

Kim Joo-hyung surged into solo third place at the Wyndham Championship on Saturday, positioning himself as a strong contender for the title. The golfer fired a bogey-free 7-under-par 63 in the third round, climbing 11 spots from his previous standing.

With a total score of 15-under-par 195, Kim is now just one stroke behind co-leaders Michael Brennan and Beau Hossler of the United States. This performance follows his victory at the Scottish Open last month, fueling his ambition to add another trophy to his collection in the final regular-season event.

Kim's current position at 34th in the FedEx Cup rankings is secure for the initial playoff events. However, to advance to the final Tour Championship, which features the top 30 players, he needs to improve his ranking further. His strong play at the Wyndham Championship is crucial for achieving this goal.

Throughout the third round, Kim demonstrated consistent skill, making birdies on holes 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 15, and 17. Meanwhile, fellow South Korean Im Sung-jae improved to a tie for 21st place after shooting a 3-under-par 69 in the third round.
