South Korean national team defender Kim Min-jae is likely to continue his tenure with German club Bayern Munich next season. Reports indicate that unless an "extraordinary offer" materializes, the club plans to keep the 30-year-old center-back.

Kim has been a part of Bayern's squad this season, playing a role in their Bundesliga title victory. He appeared in 37 official matches across all competitions, scoring one goal and providing one assist. While not a consistent starter, he served as a key rotation player behind Dayot Upamecano and Jonathan Tah.

His performances extended to the international stage during the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers. Although South Korea failed to advance past the group stage under former coach Hong Myung-bo, Kim played in all three matches, showcasing his presence in both defense and attack on the World Cup stage.

According to Sky Sports Germany, there has been a shift in perception within Bayern Munich regarding Kim. He is no longer considered a player for sale.
