They will be joined by five candidates associated with Lee Jae-myung: Park Seon-won, Kim Yong, Seo Mi-hwa, Kim Young-ho, and Im Mi-ae. The advancement of all three Chung Sye-kyun-aligned candidates suggests significant support for Chung, with one neutral lawmaker noting, "Seeing Lee Seong-yun, Choi Min-hee, and Han Min-su all elected shows that Chung's support is considerable."

The Democratic Party will commence regional primary elections on August 1st, covering various provinces and cities, before the final results are announced at the national convention on August 17th.
