King Crimson Legends Belew and Levin Revive 80s Sound with BEAT in Barcelona

Adrian Belew and Tony Levin, two influential musicians who left their mark on the legendary band King Crimson, brought their project BEAT to Barcelona's Poble Espanyol. The concert, held on June 29, 2026, celebrated the band's seminal 1980s work, performing tracks from albums like 'Discipline' (1981), 'Beat' (1982), and 'Three Of A Perfect Pair' (1984).

Joining Belew and Levin were acclaimed guitarist Steve Vai and Danny Carey, the drummer for Tool, adding a powerful dynamic to the performance. The quartet delivered a captivating show, opening with 'Neurotica' and treating the audience of 3,600 fans to a journey through King Crimson's progressive rock sound. Belew, overcoming recent vocal issues, engaged the crowd with songs like 'Neal and Jack and Me' and 'Heartbeat,' while Levin showcased his mastery on the Chapman Stick with pieces such as 'Sartori In Tangier.'

The concert delved into lesser-played tracks from the 80s, with Belew teasing the audience about the rarity of songs like 'Model Man,' 'Dig Me,' and 'Man With An Open Heart.'
