Kinmen Serious Car Accident: Taxi Allegedly Rushes Left Turn, Severely Injuring Motorcyclist

A severe traffic accident in Kinmen's Jinning Township has left a motorcyclist with critical injuries after a collision with a taxi. The incident occurred at the intersection of Taoyuan Road and Panguo Road when the taxi, driven by a man surnamed Xu, allegedly attempted a left turn and collided with a motorcycle traveling in the opposite direction towards Jincheng.

The motorcyclist, identified by the surname Zheng, was reportedly thrown into the air, somersaulting over a safety island before landing heavily in another lane. He sustained multiple lacerations and was rushed to the Kinmen Hospital for treatment. The taxi sustained significant damage to its front end, while the motorcycle was left in pieces.

Authorities reported that the taxi driver, Xu, was not injured and passed an alcohol test at the scene. The exact cause of the accident is currently under investigation by the Kinmen Police Department's Jincheng Precinct.

Eyewitnesses described a loud impact, with debris from the motorcycle, including items from its storage compartment, scattering across the road. Police reminded drivers that turning vehicles must yield to oncoming traffic at intersections and urged all motorists to adhere to the "slow, look, stop" principle when navigating intersections to prevent similar incidents.
