Kit Connor Tipped as Marvel's Next Cyclops for X-Men Film

Marvel Studios is reportedly close to casting Kit Connor as Cyclops for its upcoming X-Men movie, according to industry news outlets.

Connor, 22, has emerged as the top candidate to portray Scott Summers, a pivotal character in the Marvel comics and a long-standing member of the X-Men. Variety reported that the actor is in discussions with the studio to finalize a deal, though no official announcement has been made.

CNN has reached out to Connor's representatives for comment and is awaiting a response. If cast, Connor would succeed James Marsden, who originated the role of Cyclops in the 2000 film "X-Men." The new adaptation will be helmed by Jake Schreier, known for "Thunderbolts."
