Kjell Inge Røkke took out one billion in dividends

Kjell Inge Røkke, the Norwegian billionaire who relocated to Switzerland, received a substantial dividend payout of nearly 1 billion Norwegian kroner from his company, The Resource Group (TRG), in 2025. This figure represents an increase from the 800 million kroner he took in dividends the previous year.

The TRG group's annual accounts reveal that its equity fell to 58.1 billion kroner from 68.6 billion kroner at the end of 2024. This reduction is attributed primarily to a negative total result of 2.7 billion kroner for the year, coupled with dividend payments totaling 6.2 billion kroner. The company also reported 1.7 billion kroner in transactions related to non-controlling ownership interests.

TRG serves as the parent company for many of Røkke's investments, including his significant stake in the publicly listed Aker group. Under TRG Holding, the group encompasses major publicly traded companies such as Aker BP, Aker Solutions, and Solstad Offshore.

Aker's communications chief, Atle Kigen, stated that the financial report and the board's statement "speak for themselves," declining to comment further on the details of the annual accounts.
