KMT cuts drone budget, DPP calls it 'ugly' and credit-grabbing

Taiwan's opposition Kuomintang (KMT) legislative caucus has proposed slashing the budget for a significant drone initiative, asserting that their own proposed drone regulations are more complete. The KMT is calling on the Executive Yuan to immediately halt a 42.2 billion yuan "Integrated Development Plan for Unmanned Vehicle Industry." They argue that the allocated funds should be cut from the current year's budget. This move has drawn sharp criticism from the ruling Democratic Progressive Party (DPP). DPP legislator Lin Chun-hsien lambasted the KMT's actions, describing their behavior as "ugly" and accusing them of attempting to claim credit for the initiative.
